One of a series of seven leather-bound volumes honoring the family’s matriarch and patriarch, this memorial scrapbook has been stabilized for future generations. To mitigate structural stress, I have integrated a dedicated lifting sling for the secure transition of the book from its archival housing. The suite includes a coordinated book cradle with a protective textile cover to ensure safe viewing. The archival repository features a custom-constructed slipcover, distinguished by a transferred family portrait to serve as a visual tribute, making it suitable for curated open display.
To further ensure the longevity of this collection, the scrapbook has been fully digitized in high-resolution image format and as an indexed PDF. This digital edition is hosted on a private family portal, allowing for effortless, immediate shared viewing and preservation.
Materials: 100% organic cotton sateen, 100% organic cotton felt, 100% cotton, 100% polystester
This is a set of three Norwalk, California high school yearbooks from 1943, 1944 and 1945, which not only document a moment in the history of public education, but also youth involvement in World War II, community development, fashion and slang.
The collection is preserved within a specialized archival enclosure that cleverly unfolds into a functional book cradle. Each volume is sheltered in its own labeled textile slip and organized by year. To complement the physical archive, I have provided a tailored suite of conservation tools, including weighted stays, a magnifying lens, and a dedicated notebook for records. The entire assembly is encased in a matching slipcover and paired with a protective felt underlay to safeguard surfaces during consultation.
The suite’s design offers the flexibility of an elegant statement piece on open shelving, or secure placement within closed storage.
Each page has been meticulously digitized and archived into a searchable format, creating an enduring electronic record shared via a secure family website. This bridges the gap between physical and digital heritage, and supports seamless family access.

Commissioned for a family’s newest addition, this archival housing was created to support the active stewardship of a cherished family romper and bonnet. Designed for frequent use among an expanding extended family, the set is housed in a tailored velour garment bag of my original design. An archival provenance card and photographic pocket allow the family to chronicle each wearer’s story. By utilizing 100% archival-safe materials, we’ve ensured that this set remains in pristine condition, whether in use, in a closet between uses, or eventually in long-term storage.

Provenance Detail
Whether worn for a specific occasion or kept for their historical value, textiles that bridge the generations require a unique standard of care. This vintage silk day ensemble is presented in a museum integrated archival suite, featuring a lined garment bag for active use and a matching preservation box for long-term storage. A specialized interior pocket houses an archival envelope for provenance documentation and milestone photography. To complete the suite, a singular handmade gift is included, intended for the next child who inherits this legacy.
All items (except box, envelope and gift) are original designs and handcrafted by me. My work includes equal amounts of machine and hand-sewing.

This private collection of multi-generational ephemera—including vintage photography, personal correspondence, and fragile paper artifacts—is organized for high-density preservation. Unlike my custom-tailored gift suites, this archive is designed for integration into a museum-grade preservation cabinet, where the cabinetry itself provides the secondary environmental and light-filtration barrier.
The collection is housed in a series of modular, acid-free archival boxes, each precisely sized to the artifacts' dimensions to prevent mechanical shifting. This system prioritizes rapid retrieval and scholarly access while maintaining institutional standards for long-term stabilization. Every document and photograph has been cross-referenced within a digital finding aid, ensuring that the physical history remains searchable and secure.
Materials: Acid-free and lignin-free unbuffered and buffered board, polyester (Mylar) sleeves, archival-grade identification labels
